Prof. Suzuki and Misaki Design work together in development of advanced driving simulator for engineering education and research purpose at Future Research Center onto the new Millennium KAGAWA. The “Sirius” is based on the achievement of this project and is used in the graduation research of the university students and joint research projects with private companies.

The “Sirius” is adopted to develop the driving simulator as an education and research tool of driver training for Endurance Race by small cars (Kei-cars). Conference paper has been published discussing improvement method of driving technique with this simulator.

Prof. Suganuma who lead the Autonomous Vehicle Research Unit of Future Society Creation Research Core, Institute for Frontier Science Initiative in Kanazawa University and Misaki Design have just agreed to cooperate and apply the “Sirius” to develop the testing tool of the software for autonomous vehicle.

Expected Merits:

  • Constructing the behavior logic of Autonomous Vehicle through the validation of the interactions among the Scenario Vehicles by “Sirius”
  • Validation of the interactions between Autonomous Vehicles
  • Safety Verification of the response of Autonomous Vehicles to malicious driving behavior of surrounding vehicles given by the driving simulator function of the “Sirius”

Renting Driving Simulator with prepared data set for the simulator experiment
